Today’s Do-Over
I love this time of year. New beginnings are in the air.
Kids head back to school with new backpacks full of fresh pink erasers and pencils with no teeth marks on them. Our campus is awash in proud seniors who are now hesitant freshman, with a tinge of nervousness in their eyes, unsure of where they belong or what they should be doing.
And at 56, I’ll have to admit to a little nervousness and hesitance myself, as I stand in front of three new classrooms full of students, looking to me for answers to questions they don’t even know to ask yet.
Makes me thankful for the new blessings I receive from the Father every day. I’m all too quick to focus on the past, things I would change or do different or wish had never happened, always seeking the do-over. He is quick to remind me today is a new day, filled with possibilities and blessings and a chance to do today better than I did yesterday.
How are you going to spend your do-over today?
For 88.3 The Journey, I’m General Manager Mike Agee.

Dear Mike,
I heard you recently talking about your upcoming wedding anniversary, which I believe is today, September 18. It was obvious that you and Wanda have shared an enduring love blessed by God for thirty-three years. I wish you both the best today and always.
Today would have been mine and Charles’s thirty-third wedding anniversary and it’s the first one I’ve had to face alone. Charles passed away at the age of 56 on May 5. I miss him every minute of every day.
I find myself reminding friends to tell those special people in their lives that you love them every day. I have many beautiful and treasured memories of my life with Charles. I know the Lord is with me always, but I need your prayers especially today.
Thank you and may God bless,
Kathy Meek
