Thankful
In a spirit of resisting the pressure of hurrying from Halloween to Christmas, I just thought I would take a few moments to express some thankfulness as we begin our fifth year at The Journey.
I had the privilege of being at RodeoFest at Shepherd’s Valley Cowboy Church not long ago. One of the people I talked with was a chaplain at the Johnson County Jail. She thanked me for the ministry of the Journey; telling me that many of those she worked with spent their hard earned credits on headphones so they could listen to The Journey. She told me the station brought some light and hope into an otherwise dreary place.
Thank you to more than 800 who have given of themselves and their resources to help make that ministry possible this year. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to serve, for your prayers and involvement with the Journey. Thank you for allowing us into your homes, your cars, your businesses, and into your hearts. What an amazing four years it has been!
For 88.3 The Journey, I’m a thankful General Manager Mike Agee.
