Agent of Change
For most of my thirty plus years in radio, I have been an agent of change. I’m always looking for ways to do something differently, better or more efficiently. Apparently I have the gift of change. At least until we start talking about my personal life. In my personal life, I don’t like change much at all. I’m over fifty and I like certain foods, music, TV, friends, hobbies and vacations spots just fine, thank you very much. So it has been an interesting few weeks for me.
Two surgeries last week went well. The doctor was pleased. Now I’m home, healing and convalescing. Every eight hours we hook up an IV line for antibiotics to kill the infection causing the trouble. We still don’t know what caused it. And a portable vacuum cleaner with a sponge is healing my eight-inch incision. Trust me, you don’t want any more details. If you do, I can send you pictures, of course. Weeks to go for both treatments.
Thank you for your prayers and well wishes. I appreciate them very much. Thanks to my neighbor Larry for the great food. And thanks for your patience about what’s happening and not happening on-air. I’ve got a bunch of new music for you as soon as I can get out of my chair. Now I need a nap and another bag of IV.
For 88.3 The Journey, I’m a still healing General Manager Mike Agee.
