I Met An Angel
I met an angel this morning and she was holding a needle. I was so distracted and tired I didn’t even think to ask her name.
I was in to have blood drawn for a check-up with the doc and she recognized my name. She leaned in to whisper she couldn’t make it through the day without The Journey and she was so thankful we were there for her. I said thanks and commented that I had needed what the station offered recently myself.
“Really, how so?” I told her the pressure had been building recently, everything seemed to be closing in and I was feeling just a little overwhelmed. She smiled and said she hadn’t really thought about us needing the encouragement and inspiration The Journey brings, as well. Then she said the magic words, “I’ll be praying for you, Mike.”
We’re all busy, doing too much and running in too many directions at once. Perhaps we should take a moment and think about how good our God is. Perhaps we should take a moment and thank Him for His many blessings. Perhaps we should take a moment and pray for each other.
Will you join my needle-wielding angel and pray for The Journey? It would be so very much appreciated.
For 88.3 The Journey, I’m a weary, but thankful General Manager Mike Agee.
