A Cord of Three
One of the scriptures at the root of my vision for The Journey is found in Ecclesiastes. Solomon is looking back over his life experience and offering advise to his son. In chapter 4, he is talking about labor and skill and the work of our hands.
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor. If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Eccl. 4:9-12.
In other words, it’s better to have someone walking beside you. That’s what I want the Journey to become, a group of people you can depend on to walk beside you, no matter what. We can only do that together.
In a few days, you’ll hear us asking you to support The Journey. We call it Sharathon. Between now and then, will you pray about becoming a financial supporter of 88.3 The Journey. We can’t do this without your help.
For 88.3 The Journey, I’m General Manager Mike Agee.
