Meet The Team

We’ve been married since 1990 and have two adult children, Marcus and Natalee. Marcus and his wife, Amy, had our first grandbaby, Oliver, last year; so we’re a super-excited Nana and Papa! Over the past three decades, we’ve served in many areas of church leadership—worship, youth and children’s ministry, discipleship, and outreach—including pastoral roles. We’re especially grateful for the chance to share our story of a restored marriage, passing on the biblical principles and hard-won lessons that have helped us, so others can find hope and healing in their own relationships. Now, we’re excited to bring those conversations to the air—encouraging listeners each morning and building meaningful connections through real-life faith, laughter, and truth. Our passion is to help people discover their identity in Christ, deepen their walk with God, and walk confidently in their calling.

Frank Reed has been encouraging and inspiring radio listeners in North Texas since 1991 and after 30+ years at KLTY, is excited to be joining the team at 88.3 The Journey! An on air radio veteran for over 50 years, Frank made the move to Christian radio in 1998 in New Jersey where he met his wife Patti. Three years later they married and moved to Texas and never looked back. Frank and Patti live in Roanoke and attend The Paradox Church in Ft. Worth. You can hear Frank weekdays 3 – 7pm.

From the second Penny heard the big radio stations in Boston, God had put it in her heart that this is what she was meant to do. She has moved all around the USA on her radio journey traveling the path God had in store for her in radio and now she feels very blessed to be able to share contagious encouragement with Keep The Faith. Life can be difficult at times, but sometimes all you need is a little reminder that God IS there and He IS in control….you are NOT alone. Penny is the mother of 3 beautiful boys, and an amazing husband.

Danae Marie joined our staff August of 2014. She’s not new to 88.3, Danae worked here as a student from 2007-2009. Danae is from Southern California but she’s lived all across the nation, even Hawaii for a year. She’s worked in radio in Texas and Michigan, in the classical and Christian formats. On the side she’s a personal trainer and a Triathlete. She loves spending time with her husband Jerrod and son Ethan doing just about anything. Her other hobbies include dogs, cooking and teaching acrobatic aerial silks. Her best friend is Jesus and she hopes that His Love shines through the airwaves on The Journey.

I’m grateful to be doing what I dreamed of doing when I first plugged a mic into my boombox and began recording myself on cassettes as a kid. I’ve worked in radio for over 25 years, but God has given so much more purpose to what I’m doing now and consider it a privilege to encourage each person to take one step closer in their faith journey.

I’ve been married to my incredible wife Aimee since 2001 and we have two boys, Ben & Caleb. When I’m not in a studio, you’ll likely find me outdoors running.
