Manager’s Memo 9-2-21
Change can be … challenging. It can also be very rewarding. Change can be devastating… it can also help us grow stronger. Change can be all of the above. You might not have known it on this side of the radio, but there has been a lot of change in the building. Some of it has been challenging, like taking on the role of General Manager. Some of it has been devastating, like saying goodbye to Mike and Wanda Agee. And some of the changes have helped us grow. Literally. Your Journey radio station is no longer one full time employee, but two! Jacob Fisher, who yes, likes to fish, has joined the team.. He’s from Georgia and just moved here end of July. I’m confident that God led in this hire, this is a good change.
I was The Journey’s first full time hire going on 8 years ago, Jacob is now your second music servant 😊 I’m going to be handing him the music reins along with with the weekday evening show 7-midnight. In the meantime, I’m figuring out what leadership means. Having two full time people in the building means we can come out and see you at community events more often, among other things. Change can be good 😊 This particular change means YOUR radio ministry is growing even in the midst of all we’re facing right now. Take hope! God is working visible and invisible changes in YOU every… single … day.
And though change can be challenging, remember, it can be very rewarding too.
For 88.3 The Journey, I’m general manager Danae Songy.
