Manager’s Memo 7-30-21
In the words of Michael W. Smith “everyday we pass them by, empty people filled with care, headed who knows where”.
I was just going about my normal day, taking a nice evening walk, when I heard a cry for help. Honestly, had the evening planned out and didn’t want to be interrupted. Maybe you know the feeling. But the cries were following me and I couldn’t ignore them. Was tempted to say “why me” 😊 but my heart melted as soon as I saw the little guy. The grass was moving, he was getting closer. Then, he appeared. Black and white, eyes wide, hungry and scared. But, desperate to be rescued and anxious for help.
How many of us feel that way on the inside? Is your heart lost and without a home? Are you hungry for the truth because it feels like all anyone does is lie to you? Are you desperate to be rescued from something? I want you to know God sees you and unlike me on MY walk, God is looking FOR YOU. He has rest to give. Food for your soul and arms to hold you when no one else is around.
I dropped off the kitten with a friend, but you are God’s for keeps! He will heal you, comfort you and be your strength. But this is not the end of our story. He heals, comforts and strengthens us so that we can do that unto others … (fx song???) Everyday we pass them by, empty people filled with care, headed who knows where.”
