Manager’s Memo 7-29-22
Are you ready for something new? Something different? You want a little less of this and a little more of this in your life? Gearing up for a new season of life requires something specific that we don’t often think of. We’ve got to make room for it first. We can’t just keep adding things to our lives. Before you get a new job, you have to quit the old one. Before you start a new relationship, you need to resolve the old one. If you’re going to add an activity to your schedule, you have to remove something else. Much of the time, our “no list” is more important than our “yes list” because saying yes too many times leaves everything unfinished or a very tired YOU. If you want to add something, you have to take away. If you’re asking God to DO more things for you, it would make sense to DO less of your own stuff because as much as we’d like to believe we can do it all. We can’t because there’s only 24 hours in a day and only ONE life you and I have. This is my prayer for you from Jeremiah 6:16. “that the Lord your God may show you the way to walk, and the things you must do.”
