Manager’s Memo 7-27-21
It’s amazing what a few days of rest and relaxation with friends and family will do for you, especially for me as former General Manager Mike and Wanda Agee make a transition to a radio station in Washington D.C. My world will never be the same after Mike sat down in my office at 2:30pm that Wednesday afternoon in May. Since then, I’ve gone through the stages of shock, anger and grief. And it’s cool how God arranges things so that you have time off just when you need it.
At the end of June, Mike and I left the state of Texas at the same time. He went to D.C. I went to Spring Mountain Arkansas where my husband Jerrod was the pastor for Tween camp. Nature should be my middle name. So healing. We packed up his Toyota Avalon with our son Ethan and headed northeast. Needless to say, June 2021, has brought just as much change into my life as the entire year of 2020.
But through it all, one thing remains the same, as it does for all of us through transition. God’s grace. It has the tendency to carry us through all seasons of life. Whether little or much is going on in your life, He is right there. Planning ahead, as usual, for things we can’t see yet. And idk about you, but that is one of the most comforting things in this life. That God’s purpose for your life is sure. His grace is enough. And He’s got His eyes on the future so we don’t have to. Our job, is to keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith.
For 88.3 The Journey, and for the first time, I’m General Manager Danae Songy.
