Manager’s Memo 3-4-22
Telling yourself the truth is powerful. It’s not something someone says to us that upsets us, its what we tell ourselves about what someone said, that upsets us. But how can we do this with whats happening overseas? Senseless violence and destruction of property. People hungry, thirsty, without a bathroom. It’s these times that it’s ok to have some righteous anger, but it’s usually not directed correctly. We want to be mad at someone, but that someone has been the cause of every war in human history. And it started with a war in heaven. Satan. Satan is the ultimate cause of all pain. But Jesus. Jesus is the ultimate cure for all pain.
Sure we must endure some temporary trials. But Jesus, is the ultimate cure for all sin. All war. All suffering. All pain. Jesus, is the ultimate power. He doesn’t look away for one second and look back and say “shoot, when did that happen”. Isaiah says all the nations are like a drop from a bucket, like a speck of dust on the scales. In God’s eyes, that’s what Russia is. We don’t need to be afraid, we just need to tell ourselves the truth. That the Lord Jesus was in control from the beginning and He WILL have the last say in the end.
For 88.3 The Journey, praying with you for the people of Ukraine AND Russia, I’m General Manager, Danae Songy.
