Manager’s Memo 2-23-23

You can make a vegan burger look just like the real thing, but until you taste it, you can’t tell. I have one complicated piano piece memorized, but if you ask me to play anything else, I will have a deer in the headlights look. In the same way, we can desire good for others, give generously and avoid evil things and … not necessarily be following Christ. How do we determine whose side we are on? We do the same thing that we would with a vegan burger, we taste and see. The psalmist says “taste and see that the Lord is good”. We can conjure up good things but the real question is … who has our heart? With whom are your thoughts? Who has your hearts warmest affections? If belong to Christ, your thoughts are with Him. You can know something is true. But it won’t change you. If you know something is true and BELIEVE it, only then will it change you.
