Manager’s Memo 12-4-20
2020 continues to be a year of change in the way every one does every thing. With surging infections, hospitalizations, and restrictions, I couldn’t, in good conscience, see a way to do our annual sock drive this fall. Though, when I look around, the need is even greater than years past.
So what do we do? We’ll do what a recent Word for our Walk encouraged us to do. Always try to do good to each other and to all people.
So instead of encouraging you to go to the store, buys socks and underwear and take them to Pinnacle Bank branches for the sock drive, let me encourage you to go to your favorite non-profit’s website and make a donation equal to what you would have spent on socks, gas, and time to make a sock drive contribution. And if you don’t have a favorite non-profit outside of the Journey yet, let me recommend Operation Blessing in Johnson County, Harvest House in Burleson and the Presbyterian Night Shelter in Ft. Worth as three very worthy choices. Every day, they try to good to each other and to all people. And I’m certain they could all three use some monetary love from you right now. Thank you for caring and for taking the time.
For 88.3 The Journey, I’m General Manager Mike Agee.
