Manager’s Memo 10-21-2016

October 21, 2016

The last section of our new antenna has been hung at the top of our new 350-foot tower. Warning lights have been hung and are flashing merrily away. Transmission cabling has been hung, switches put in place and made ready for the transition to our new system. A site survey is scheduled in a few days to verify to the Federal Communication Commission that we installed our antenna in the proper way and at the proper orientation. We have begun filling out the paperwork to notify the FCC and FAA we have constructed the tower and antenna per their instructions and qualifications.

Then we wait for a few days for authorization to use the new system.

While we’re waiting, I want to encourage you to listen to the station more and perhaps a little more critically. We will make a lot of noise when we switch to the new antenna system. I would love to hear from you about how the new system sounds after we make the switch. Can you hear it further when you are driving into the metroplex for work and fun? Can you hear it in places you have never heard it before? Does it sound better where you live? And though I hope it doesn’t, does it sound worse where you are?
I’m excited about the new lives that will be touched for the Kingdom by this new antenna and tower. Thank you for your prayers and support. Like everything here, none of its possible without God’s spirit working through each of us to make it possible.

For 88.3 The Journey, I’m General Manager Mike Agee.
