Manager’s Memo 1-21-21
At least 25 times a year for more than thirty years now, I sit down in front of my computer and write what I call a Manager’s Memo. More than 750 times, I’ve had the opportunity to talk about what is happening in the radio ministries I have had the pleasure of serving as head janitor, talk about what is happening in my life, and most importantly, what I am learning in my walk with the Carpenter.
There have been good days with new buildings, new towers, goals met, and Kingdom work advanced. There were bad days, too, like the passing of the uncle that helped raise me, my mom’s cancer journey, goals missed while finding the ever-present comfort of the Holy Spirit.
Generally, at the beginning of a new year, we look ahead to the goals and challenges we face and the things we want to accomplish. As I look over my collection, though, I see my journey with the Carpenter. So, I look ahead with hope because of what I have seen in the past. Maybe that is what Moses meant in the prayer David recorded in Psalm 90. “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Let’s decide today to look ahead with hope because of evidence of what God has done in our past.
For 88.3 The Journey, I’m General Manager Mike Agee.
