Manager’s Memo 09-25-2015
Much has happened in a year. It was this week last year when my mom’s battle with cancer ended. Fortunately, I believe cancer doesn’t have the last word. Scripture tells me I will see her again and I believe that to be true. Thank you again for your prayers, your messages of encouragement and expressions of concern for my family and me. It is a wonderful thing to be surrounded by people who love you.
This past year also finds some things different at the Journey, but many things still the same. We are still committed to walking with you, just as you walked with me last year, through difficult times and through the good times, as well. We are still committed to finding and playing the best music and programs we can find, songs and features that point you to the source of all good things.
One of the things that has changed is there are more of us on the Journey this year than last. Last September, the Nielsen Ratings company told us we had about 35,000 listeners every week. This September, they tell us there are more than 80,000 on the journey together every week. Frankly, I am humbled and amazed at what God is doing through this ministry.
We’ve got a lot to accomplish this week for Sharathon and we could use your help as phone volunteers, prayer partners, donors, and refreshment providers. Thanks in advance for being involved next week. Find out how you can be involved on our website, 883 the journey dot org.
For 88.3 The Journey, I’m General Manager Mike Agee.
