Manager’s Memo 08-05-2015
In a few days, Wanda and I will celebrate 33 years of marriage. We’ll probably go all out to celebrate with a trip to the Perot Nature Museum and Taco Bell on the way home.
I’ll be the first to testify thirty-three years of married life is nothing short of a miracle from God. Five step-dads and abuse as a child doesn’t prepare you well for long-term relationships. Yet Wanda saw in me something worth investing her life in, a man only she believed I could be. I testify today to the power of a godly woman’s prayers and her unconditional love.
This and closing my mother’s estate has me thinking about the path of my life. Where I would be if I had made different choices? What might my life have been if God hadn’t crossed my path with friends, teachers, mentors, my sons and my beautiful wife? With hindsight, so many of those choices are filled with darkness and despair. I have much to be thankful for today.
Let me encourage you to take a look at your path today. Be sure to thank someone for the difference they have made in your life. Look for whose life you can make a difference in. And thank God for crossing your path.
For 88.3 The Journey, I’m General Manager Mike Agee.
