Congrats! You have been admitted. To accept your admissions, log in to the Admissions Log In at the upper right corner of our homepage and select “Applicants” and verify that the program and the start date are correct. Click on “Admissions Decision” and then “Confirm Acceptance”. I’ll have to admit, I hesitated for a couple of seconds, wondering exactly what I was committing myself to.

We have been talking about it since I arrived in Texas more than seven years ago. It is the next logical step in the sequence to becoming a full university professor. But freshman arrive in ten days and classes start in less than three weeks. I’ll be teaching two classes this fall. I’m managing a growing radio station, with Sharathon less than two months away. I keep an eye on KGSW, the TV station on campus, as well as serve as the chair of the Communication Department, with all of its required committees and administrative responsibilities. I’m happily married, for thirty-five years now, and all that entails. Isn’t that enough to do in one day?

But my wife and colleagues all support my decision. My students are excited. Who are we kidding, I’m excited! But it is nine quarters of ten weeks each, with a couple of weeks off in between, with two additional quarters to complete my capstone project. Sixty-four credit hours in ninety weeks.

Yeah, I pushed the button. My first class start in four days. And in a couple of years, God willing, you can call me Dr. Michael Agee, if you are so inclined. Wow. Pray for me. It will be an E ticket ride from here.
For 88.3 The Journey, I’m General Manager Mike Agee.
