Manager’s Memo 07-14-2016
It’s amazing what a few days walking on the beach in 65-degree weather and time with friends and family can do. And best of all, while I was taking a few days off so we can build a tower before summer is done, we made great progress on the project.
One of the first things we did when we got back in the office was to run the tally on antenna donations. As of a couple of days ago, we are close to $24,000. With the addition of an unexpected engineering survey for tower placement and design, we need between five and six thousand dollars to guarantee we’ll have enough on hand to complete the project.
The engineering survey will happen in a few days and we hope to start pushing dirt the last week of July for the tower and guy wire foundations. Allowing twenty-eight days to cure the concrete, we hope to start stacking our tower at the end of August and hang the new antenna by early September.
Now is your chance to help us finish the antenna and tower upgrade that should add several hundred thousand people to our coverage area and improve the signal for all of us. You can make a secure, online donation today on our website at eight eight three the journey dot com. Look for the Antenna Project Update on the front page. And thanks for your prayers and support. None of this is possible without you.
For 88.3 The Journey, I’m General Manager Mike Agee.
