Manager’s Memo 05-24-2018
Because the chicks dig it.
My phone threw this one at me the other day, a country song that I downloaded years ago apparently. Though I can’t agree with his reasoning, I have to admit I’ve been guilty once or twice. I also kind of like the chorus lyrics, though I like to think my calling is a little stronger than what the girls might notice.
Scars heal, glory fades and all we’re left with are the memories made.
Pain hurts, but only for a minute. Yeah life is short, so go on and live it.
It don’t matter if you lose or if you win it.
As I listened again, it occurred to me, I sometimes make decisions trying to avoid pain or opposition, not because it’s the right thing. I’m aware again that it’s the journey, since my destination is already assured. And it doesn’t matter if I win or lose, only that I’ve tried, because my victory is also assured, because of what He did.
My Bible says trouble and pain are inevitable in this life. So, go ahead and be bold. God honors a faith that steps out of the boat. Maybe you get wet. Maybe you walk on water.
For 88.3 The Journey, I’m General Manager Mike Agee.
