Manager’s Memo 02-15-2017
A friend asked me the other day, “what’s next for the Journey, now that the tower and antenna project are done?” I told him “excellent question, for which I had some thoughts but not a ready answer.” I’ve been thinking about the ready answer though, since he asked.
What is next for the Journey? I think the ready answer is “more.” Would you like us to have more Christian concerts in our area? Would you like more opportunities to be involved with and help out at some of the great non-profits in our area that serve those who could use a helping hand? Would you like to have more opportunities to hear great speakers and seminars to learn to be better disciples, better parents, better husbands and wives, better servants for the Kingdom? Would you like to have more ways to connect with Journey staff and other listeners? Would you like to do more for the Kingdom in our corner of the metroplex?
In truth, that has been my desire since I accepted the position of general manager almost seven years ago. The new tower and antenna allows us to share God’s love through radio with even more people. But to do more; more concerts, more events, more service opportunities, more communication, more connections, requires more of everything. More commitment. More staff. More time. More resources. More prayer.
Our Spring Sharathon is in less than six weeks. Will you be in prayer for us as we prepare? Will you be in prayer about how you can help us do more for the Kingdom? Will you be in prayer for how you can be involved with the Journey this year?
For 88.3 The Journey, I’m General Manager Mike Agee, excited about what God has in store as we ask for more.
