Manager’s Memo 01-22-2016
My oldest turned twenty-nine a few days ago. I called him to wish him a happy birthday and asked him how he was doing.
“It’s weird Dad. I’m married now, we’re talking about kids and I’m almost thirty!! I’m not a kid anymore.”
“Yeah and you’re thinking about what you want to be when you grow up, wondering about being a good husband and father, finding a better job to support your family and how come you didn’t plan on having more fun when he was younger?
“Yeah, that’s it exactly. How did you know?”
I couldn’t help but laugh out loud. Seems Dad isn’t so dumb after all. It was a feeling I cherished for the rest of the day and most of the next. After some reassurance, I reminded him he has had lots of fun. I also told him that if he continued to seek God’s will in his life, he would be just fine. “How can you know for sure?” Cause I’ve been where you are, son. I know from experience He can be trusted with your life.
As we close January of 2016, I wanted to remind myself, and you, that God can be trusted with our futures. He’s already been there. And thanks for being involved in this ministry. We appreciate your prayers and support.
For 88.3 The Journey, I’m General Manager Mike Agee.
