Beginnings & Endings
Beginnings and endings. Seems I am surrounded by them.
I am days from completing my last doctoral class. All that will remain is completion of my capstone project. These final assignments have been filled with reflection on the program, what I have learned, how I have grown and changed over the course of the last two and half years on the way to becoming Dr. Agee.
Reflection on beginnings and endings.
I am excited about nearing the end of graduate school. It has been a long seven years. This week, I’m surrounded by hundreds of new, bright eyed students who are starting a new chapter in their lives, fixed on a possible future, while trying to hide their anxiety at the changes taking place in their lives. I write this in my new office in the new home of the Journey, weeks from Sharathon and a few more weeks from beginning our tenth year of sharing Jesus with North Texas. Beginnings and endings
I’m comforted by the reminder in the book of Revelation, at the end of the books, that He is the Alpha and Omega. He is there at the beginning, “let there be light.” And He is there at the end, “I will make all things new.” I guess our beginnings and endings aren’t too big a deal when we’re sheltered by a God who has known neither.
For 88.3 The Journey, I’m General Manager Mike Agee.
