There are also plenty of opportunities provided for participants to ask questions of experienced birders. Prairie\, woodland\, and wetland habitats are included in these walks. This program is typically offered monthly from September through June annually. These walks begin promptly at 8 AM and last 1.5 hours. \nThis program is included in general admission and is free for Heard Museum members. Thanks to the incredible support of our community\, the Christmas Market continues to grow and bring joy to hundreds of shoppers each year. But we can’t do it without you! \nThis year’s Christmas Market will be held Saturday\, December 6th from 12:00pm –8:00 p.m. and December 7th from 12:00pm – 5:00pm at Elisa Carver Park (909 N Old Betsy Rd). Families can look forward to a Unique boutique shopping experience\, bounce houses\, local entertainment\, gift basket drawing and the movie Polar Express to be shown in the park after the tree lighting—and we would love for you to join us! \nTogether\, we can make this year’s Christmas Market & Tree Lighting the biggest and brightest yet! DESCRIPTION:SEE YOU IN KEENE on Sunday\, Dec. 7 for the 29th annual KEENE CHRISTMAS LIGHT PARADE & FIREWORKS SHOW!  \nAnything with wheels\, feet\, or hooves\, adorned with Christmas lights and is consistent with the theme\, “The Reason We Celebrate This Season\,” is welcome to participate. \nStaging at PEGASUS LANDING OF CHISHOLM TRAIL\, 513 S. Old Betsy Road\, about 400 yards south of Pinnacle Bank. Parade staff will direct you to your starting spot. \n• Parade registration is $10 and can be paid on-site \n• Judging of entries starts at 5:15 p.m. \n• Parade begins 6:30 p.m. \n• Parade ends at the Leiske-Pultar Gymnasium parking lot on the campus of SWAU\, as usual \n• Fireworks show following the parade\, about 7:45 p.m. \nFirst-place trophies will be awarded in the following categories: \n■ Best lighted vehicle ■ Best lighted float ■ Best animal entry ■ Best business entry ■ Best children’s entry  \n■ Best Pathfinder club ■ Best Adventurer club ■ Best antique entry ■ Most unique entry \nOne entry will be awarded Best Overall and will receive a trophy. \nWe’re looking for help to make this event even better and would greatly appreciate your assistance. DESCRIPTION:2nd Saturday Bird Walks are intended to help beginning and intermediate birders with bird spotting and identification techniques. There are also plenty of opportunities provided for participants to ask questions of experienced birders. Prairie\, woodland\, and wetland habitats are included in these walks. This program is typically offered monthly from September through June annually. These walks begin promptly at 8 AM and last 1.5 hours. \nThis program is included in general admission and is free for Heard Museum members. Optional extended time is available by participant request. Be sure to arrive on time\, because if you come a few minutes late\, the group may have already started their walk.
